JEST 2018 There are numerous leading research institutes responsible for organizing Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) for aspirants seeking admission to PhD and Integrated PhD programmes offered by participating colleges. Interested aspirants can find its application form most probably from the third week of November 2017 and the date of examination might be February 2018.

JEST 2018 Application Form

The authority has allowed candidates to apply for JEST 2018 in online mode only. It is possible that JEST application form will be made available from the third week of November 2017. You must keep scanned copy of your photograph and signature along with other related details.

Application Fee

For general applicant, the application fee is Rs.300/- whereas, this amount is Rs.150/- for SC/ST category candidate.

Eligibility Criteria

It will be must for you to ensure your eligibility before you apply for JEST 2017:

  • For Integrated PhD: B.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics;
  • For Regular Ph.D.- M.Sc. in applied-physics/ physics;
  • / B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./ M.C.A/4 year B.S. are also considered for providing admission to Integrated and regular Ph.D. programs.

Exam Pattern

The important highlights of JEST 2018 exam pattern are as follows:

  • JEST is organized for providing admission to Ph.D. and Integrated PhD programmes offered in Theoretical Computer Science and Physics.
  • There is only one mode of the exam and that is an offline mode.
  • There will be two parts of Physics paper containing 50 questions in total (25 from each). Whereas, the Theoretical Computer Science paper will contain 7 questions in total.
  • In part A, every question is associated with 3 marks, whereas, in Part B there will be one mark for every correctly attempted question.
  • The test duration will be for three hours.

JEST 2018 Admit Card

JEST 2018 admit card will be made available in the last week of January 2018. One can obtain his/her admit card simply from the official admission portal of Joint Entrance Screening Test. After downloading the admit card, candidates also need to bring it along with any identity proof while coming to the examination centre.

Answer Key

Candidates can check the exam answer key from the official admission portal of JEST. They can check the answer key before the declaration of the result. The authority will publish set-wise answer key.

JEST 2018 Result

It will be possible to check the JEST 2018 result through the official website of JEST. Candidates can obtain their respective score card only after publication of the result. The validity period of your score card is only one year.
