Any student who has passed his/her class 12th wanting to make a career in the field of law can apply for CLAT 2017. In 2017, Chanakya National Law University, Patna is organizing a CLAT 2017. By appearing for CLAT 2017 entrance examination, students can get admission in one of the most sought after 18 National Law universities. It is the responsibility of these National Law universities to conduct CLAT each year. These National Law universities consider the CLAT score for admissions in law courses. CLAT 2017 Application Form

  • CLAT 2017 Application Form can be submitted through online procedure only. There is no offline method for submitting CLAT 2017.
  • The CLAT 2017 Application Form has been released from 1st January 2017.
  • First of all, candidates should arrange all the scanned documents of photograph, signature, SC/ SAP/ST certificate (if asked for) and domicile certificate (if asked for).
  • The last date meant for submitting the online application form is 31st March 2017.
  • The application form can’t be sent through offline process so there is no need to send through it.

CLAT 2017 Application Fee

Candidates falling under the OBC/UR /SAP (Specially Abled Persons) category, have to pay Rs.4,000/- as a cost of an application fee. For SC/ST candidates, Application Fee is Rs.3,500/- only. The application fee can be given either through Online or e-Challan. Bank may charge its fee for the above transactions. The application fee is non-refundable in any case i.e. you can’t get it back!

CLAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria

To seat in CLAT 2017, candidates have to satisfy the given eligibility standard. The eligibility criteria for UG and PG courses are given below:

·        10+2 or equivalent examination

·        Appearing candidates of Class 10+2 can also apply.

·        At the event of admission procedure, the candidates have to bring the passing certificate of 12th class as an evidence of their passing qualifying examination.

·        The upper age limit for Unreserved and NRI category candidates to seat in CLAT 2017 is 20 years  (as on 1st July 2017) and  for reserved categories is 22 years


·        Must have LL.B or equivalent degree

·        Appearing candidate of above course can also apply.

·        At the event of admission procedure, the candidates have to bring the passing certificate of qualifying examination as an evidence of their passing qualifying examination.

·        No Upper Age Limit.

CLAT 2017 Syllabus

Candidates should have the complete knowledge of CLAT 2017 Syllabus. The syllabus of the CLAT 2017 will be set by the conducting university. The syllabus comprises of the topic of General Knowledge (G.K.) and Current Affairs, Reasoning and Aptitude, Basic Mathematics and Constitutional Law etc.

CLAT 2017 Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card via online method. CLAT 2017 Admit Card will be available from 20th April 2017. The organizing university will not dispatch the admit card via e-mail or by post. On the day of examination, it is essential for the applicants to carry the Aadhar Card//Voter ID/ Passport/Driving license as an identity proof along with the admit card.

CLAT 2017 Answer Key

On the examination day, we ( ) will present to you the introductory answer key to enable you to estimate their scores. After the result will be declared, the official answer key will be out. The CLAT 2017 answer key will be shown on 16th May 2017. Candidates will get a rough estimation of their score with the help of answer key.

CLAT 2017 Result

The CLAT 2017 Result will declare on 29th May 2017. The merit list will also be out along with the result. On the basis of the merit list, candidates will be selected for the admission procedure.

CLAT 2017 Counselling

After the declaration of result, the CLAT 2017 Counselling process will begin from 6th June 2017. The counselling process will be systematically arranged in four rounds. Applicants have to give Rs. 50,000/ in the form of counselling fee to depict their faithfulness regarding admission in any of the coveted involved National Law Universities(NLUs).
