SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2018

Education Qualifications

As the name of the examination i.e., SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) itself says that it’s an examination for only those candidates who have done their graduation. Candidate must have a Graduation degree in any stream from a University recognized by the Government of India.

Nationality

SSC CGL 2018 Aspirants should be an Indian. In other words, the nationality of the applicant should be of an India. Indian Nationality is required for any Government Job in India.

SSC CGL 2018 Age Limit

The Staff Selection Commission has brought some new changes in the upper and lower age limit required to appear for the SSC CGLE. SSC has increased the upper age limit to 30 years. SSC has set the lower age limit to 20 years.

SSC CGL 2018 Tiers Exam Details

In order to get a job in SSC Department through SSC CGL 2018, a candidate has to clear the total number of four-tier examination i.e., – Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. Only after qualifying the tiers examination, a candidate will be given the job in Central Government. Check details about all the Tier examination below

SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Detail

  • Time duration allotted to complete the Tier I examination: 75 Minutes
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Section: 4 (25 questions in each section).
  • Negative Marking in Tier I: Yes, 0.50 marks for the wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam 2018 Detail

There is not any major change in the Exam Pattern of SSC CGL 2018 Tier II. The SSC Department has brought the change in the mode of examination. Now, the Tier II examination will also be conducted as COMPUTER-BASED EXAMINATION.

SSC CGL Tier-3 Exam 2018 Detail

  • Tier-III is totally descriptive in nature (Hindi/English).
  • SSC CGL Tier-3 is a pen and paper examination i.e., it is conducted in offline mode.
  • SSC CGL Tier III is a 100 Marks Paper.
  • The Time Duration of CGL Tier 3 2018 Examination will be One hour as it was before.

SSC CGL Tier-4 Exam 2018 Detail

In SSC CGL Tier IV Exam, candidate’s skills are going to be tested wherever applicable. Document Verification will also be done in this phase. In Tier IV, the real knowledge of the candidate is tested. The SSC CGL Department wants that the candidate must have an extra computer related information apart from bookish knowledge.

Note: Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/ Computer Proficiency Test is for only candidates who for Income tax department.
