Indian Navy has issued the notification for the selection of eligible and interested candidates of Group B & Group C. 100 posts are available for the profile of Boat Crew Personnel in several divisions under Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, and Andaman & Nicobar Command. Indian Navy demands only eligible and interested Indian Candidates to apply for the Boat Crew Personnel. The Indian Navy, marine branch of the armed forces of India. President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, acts as the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

Greaser-Candidate should be matriculate with minimum 3years experience on a Seagoing ship.
Fireman –Candidate should be matriculate with good knowledge of Swimming.
Syrang of Lascar– Candidate should be matriculate having 2years experience as a Sukhani of a vessel of not less 20 horsepower and must be aware about the Storm and distress signals, compass and charts.
Engine Driver: Candidate should be matriculate with permit from Mercantile Marine Department for Class III Driver .He must worked as a Crew Engine Room for atleast 2 years.
Lascar-I: Candidate should be matriculate with good knowledge of Swimming.
Engine Driver II Class: Candidate should be matriculate with Certificate of Engine Driver 2nd Class. Having 2 years experience as a Tindal/ Syrang on a seagoing ship of around 400 B.H.P.
Master Grade-I: Candidate should be matriculate with Certificate of Master 1st Class I.S.V. Having 2 years experience of handling a seagoing vessel which is not less than 30 nominal horsepower.
Master Grade-II: Candidate should be matriculated with Certificate of Master 2ndClass I.S.V Having 3 years experience of handling a seagoing vessel which is not less than 30 nominal horsepower.
Senior Engine Driver- Candidate must be matriculated along with 1st Class Engine Driver Certificate of Competency and have minimum 2 years experience on a Seagoing Vessel of not less than 225 B.H.P. as in charge.

Candidate should send the form through registered post only and that too in prescribed format which is given below:

- Test-Written Exam
- Test-Physical Endurance Test And Swimming Test.

- First Test–Written Test
Written test consist of 5 section which is an objective type question and all the shortlisted candidate have to appear for this test. The entire test consists of 100 marks.

|2nd Section-Quantitative Aptitude|
|3rd Section-General English|
|4th Section-General Knowledge|
|5th Section-General Awareness in particular trade|
- Second Test –Physical Endurance and Swimming Test
Applicants who have cleared the Written exam will have to appear for the Physical endurance test and Swimming Test. In Physical test, 2 rounds will be conducted.
|Running– Candidate has to cover a distance of 800 meters in 7 min.|
|Swimming-50 meters followed by 02:30 min floating and 05 meters jump|
- Third Test – Provisional Appointment Letter
Appointment Letter will be given to only those candidate who has cleared the Written test, Physical Endurance and Swimming Test, Medical Test and all the conditions listed by the Government of Indian and Appointing Authority
- Fourth Test–Document Verification
All the shortlisted Candidate have to go personally for the documents Verification. Documents must contain their Education qualifications, age, identity proof, Category, Address proof, Caste etc. And all the documents will be verified on the basis of provisional appointment as per the requirement of DOP&T policy.
